It will only be cancelled in the event of extreme weather. City leaders considered whether it is possible to reschedule the event and determined it cannot be rescheduled because of a number of factors including staffing of city personnel, legal requirements for road closures, and availability of parade participants like the local marching bands who have competitions scheduled later in the month.
If it is necessary to cancel the parade and festival, the City will announce an indoor location for visiting with Santa Claus. Parade participants and vendors are investing a lot in this event for our community so get your rain gear ready and let's make the best of it!
