WOODSTOCK OFFICIALS AND STAFF CELEBRATE GEORGIA CITIES
April 4, 2018 - City officials and staff are excited to announce that the City of Woodstock will be celebrating “Georgia Cities Week” April 22-28. The city will be holding a variety of events throughout the week, including the annual Towne Hall Meet & Greet. The theme of this year’s Georgia Cities Week is “Cities in the Spotlight,” highlighting cities’ important role in the state’s history, economy, and every-day activities of residents.
This is the 19th year Georgia Cities Week has been celebrated in the state and the third year the City of Woodstock has participated.
“We’re very proud of our city and the services we provide
that make it attractive to residents and visitors,” said Mayor Donnie
Henriques. “Cities provide the services and infrastructure to help businesses
grow and sets the stage for events where families and individuals can gather as

Sunday, April 22 - Taste & Sound of Woodstock
Hosted by Main Street Woodstock.
The 8th Annual Taste & Sound of
Woodstock will be held on Sunday, April 22nd, 2018, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. in
the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater in downtown Woodstock! Dozens of
Woodstock area restaurants will serve delicious tastes of their best dishes and
compete in a variety of categories.
The event benefits the Woodstock High School Band Program
and there will be live music throughout the day. Don’t miss the mini food truck
park and beer garden. The family friendly event will feature a kids zone too!
Taste & Sound of Woodstock kicks off Woodstock Restaurant Week. Admission is free. Tickets cost $0.50 each and packages start at $5. Restaurants may not accept cash and tastes are priced between one and eight tickets each. For more information, please visit http://visitwoodstockga.com

Hall Meet & Greet

April 23, at 6:00p.m., at the Chambers at City Center, 8534 Main Street, for
our annual Towne Hall Meet & Greet. This is an opportunity for you to
meet, converse with, and ask questions of your elected officials and City
staff. City officials and staff from each City department will be in
attendance to meet with you.

9a-11a on East Main Street in downtown Woodstock. Vehicles and equipment
will be on display. Bring the kids and stop by to see demonstrations and
to experience the equipment first hand.
Cities across Georgia will be celebrating Georgia Cities
Week, sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA), to showcase and
celebrate cities and the many services they provide. Based in Atlanta, GMA is a
voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy,
educational, employee benefit and consulting services to its 521-member cities.
